About This Website

Why I Built This Site

Creation is my passion. I treasure documenting the thoughts and experiences behind each project I complete—they hold immense personal value. Whenever someone shows interest in my work, I can share the story that brought it to life. Building a showcase for my projects and personal journey has been on my mind for years.

It all started when I stumbled across a tweet from Josh W. Comeau A tweet where JoshWComeau offered to provide feedback on portfolio websites and personal sites posted in the comments.

JoshWComeau 的推特,内容大意是让人们在评论区留下他们的作品集或个人网站,他会为这些网站提供改善建议。

In the tweet, he shared insights on how developers should approach portfolio websites, along with a free e-book — Building an Effective Dev Portfolio . Reading it gave me invaluable perspective on crafting a truly effective portfolio. If you're planning your own site, I can't recommend it highly enough!(It's impressively concise at just 70 pages yet packed with actionable insights)

This inspiration kickstarted the website you're seeing now, and I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out. As my career evolves, so will this digital space.

While you won't find complex technical tutorials here, you will discover my most authentic stories and experiences.

Style & Design

One of my favorite pastimes is exploring GitHub profiles and clicking through to the personal websites linked from them. When I discover particularly creative sites, I always bookmark them. This digital treasure hunt constantly surprises me with unexpected gems!

During one of these explorations, I came across Titus Wormer 's website and was instantly captivated by its aesthetic. After browsing countless vibrant, intricately designed sites(to be honest, I was experiencing serious aesthetic fatigue), this minimalist black and white dotted style was refreshingly different—reminiscent of vintage printed documents. Excited by this discovery, I couldn't wait to incorporate this aesthetic into my own site while adding personal touches that reflect my style.

This design approach is known as , a minimalist philosophy that emphasizes clarity and function.

My vision for the site was straightforward: quick loading times and intuitive content navigation. I deliberately kept animations minimal and avoided unnecessary dependencies to maintain this streamlined experience.

Development & Implementation

This site is built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS, hosted on Netlify. This technology stack saved me tremendous time and effort while delivering excellent performance. If you're considering building your own website, I highly recommend exploring these tools!

Is This Website Open Source?

Not at the moment. The codebase contains some personal information that I'm not ready to make public. However, I do plan to open source it when circumstances allow.
